SAWO (SAPODILLA) EXTRACT

Sapodilla (Manilkara zapota), commonly known as sawo, is a tropical fruit belonging to the Sapotaceae family. Native to Central America, it is now widely cultivated in tropical regions, including Indonesia, because of its naturally sweet flavor and soft, juicy texture. The fruit has a brown, rough skin and light to dark brown flesh with a rich caramel-like taste when fully ripe.

Sapodilla is a good source of dietary fiber, natural sugars, vitamin C, vitamin A, potassium, calcium, and antioxidant compounds such as polyphenols and tannins. These nutrients contribute to its nutritional value and make it a popular ingredient in fresh fruit products, desserts, beverages, and functional foods.
